Maya SpecPainter Tool (Alpha)

This plugin allows you to paint the specular directly on your objects. Especially useful for project like packshots, you can easily create lights that will reflect at specific points on the objects.

It is only available on Window for now.

To use the SpecPainterPlugin:

• Download the ZIP file and unzip it
• Copy the three folders "plug-ins", "prefs" and "scripts" in:
  • WINDOWS : "/Users/<username>/Documents/Maya/<year>/"
• Load the plugin in Maya's plugin manager
• Run the script "SpecPainter_launcher.py" inside Maya's script editor

Features to come:

• Choose between specular and diffuse painting
• Paint on HDRI environment
• Paint geometry (curve or mesh)
• Paint on a card
